EQST 3701- Equine Conformation and Biomechanics
Course Description
A detailed course in conformation and the movement of joints and muscles. Students will review musculoskeletal anatomy and learn about principles of normal equine movement. Pathology associated with poor conformation and the methods to manage poor conformation will be discussed. The role of the farrier in treatment of conformational diseases and the ability of the rider to influence the horse’s movement will be part of the discussions.
