Introduction
Service-learning trips are a way for students to engage with the local and global community while applying the skills they have learned in the classroom to real-world situations. This type of experiential learning encourages students to develop a genuine curiosity about the world around them while instilling the core value of social responsibility. World Vets IVM- Ecuador
The International Veterinary Medicine (IVM) Program is World Vets student program providing international students with an opportunity to gain practical veterinary experience. Chincoteague Ponies- Assateague, VA
Students assist in providing health care to a feral population of ponies on Assateague National Park located on the eastern shore of Virginia. Activities include preparing and administering vaccinations. |
World Vets IVM- Nicaragua

One Chair 4 One Child (OC4OC) is a non-profit started by a Becker College student. The organization aims to manufacture and deliver chairs and desks to Jamaican schools that need furniture. |
Be Like Brit: One Health Project
"Brit's Chicks" Poultry Raising Program Haiti (Coming Spring 2020) This program is a result of applying project-based learning in the classroom. Students worked with a local organization operating an orphanage in Haiti to develop a program that would offer Haitian children practical skills while considering human, animal and environmental health. |
